Fair Wear Foundation (FWF)

The social standards that must be met are:

No discrimination
No child labor
freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining
payment of a fee that the live long enough (living wages)
No undue long hours
A technical and healthy
workplace with a legally binding employment relationship

There is an annual inspection by the member companies and a review by the FWF instead. Furthermore, it is to lodge an appeal on the part of employees.

Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI)

The Ethical Trading Initiative ( Ethical Trading Initiative) was founded in 1998 and is a consortium of companies, trade unions and NGOs.

The Base Code contains the following provisions:
right to freedom of association and collective bargaining
prohibition of forced labor
prohibition of child labor
prohibition of discrimination
A fee that is sufficient for living expenses (living wages)
occupational health and safety
hours
regulated employment relationship
ban on inhumane treatment

There is an annual report on the implementation of the Base Code. The workers can report violations and enjoy in other ways protection.

Fair Labor Association (FLA)

The Fair Labor Association was founded in 1998 and consists of companies, universities, NGOs, the Anwaltsauschuss for Human Rights, the National Consumer Association and the National Council of Churches.

Key elements in the Code of the FLA are:
prohibition of forced labor
prohibition of child labor (if allowed by national laws, the age limit of 14, otherwise 15 years)
prohibition of harassment and abuse
prohibition of discrimination
safe and healthy workplace
Freedom and collective bargaining
minimum payment of statutory Minimum wages

working overtime pay

Every year, published reports will be disclosed where and to what extent the companies have complied with the Code of Conduct. There is also a right of appeal from a third party complaint and a confidential response.
